As a seller, if you are willing to create a product listing, here is what you need to do:
- Log in to your seller’s account on the Flipkart Seller Hub and click on My Listings tab under Listings Tab
- Click on ‘Add new listings’.
- Here, you will find a number of product categories, out of which you can select your relevant category by clicking on the dropdown menu or typing in the category name in the search box.
- After this, select the “Select brand” button and write down the brand name.
- For selling branded products, sellers need to have the brand approval letter because not all brands on Flipkart are open for all sellers (some of the brands have requested restrict the sale of their products on Flipkart without Brand approval letter from respective brand). If you have brand approval letter, enter the brand name, then click on check brand —>Apply for Brand approval. Just fill in all the required details and the brand will get approved post QC check.
- For non-branded products, you can enter the name of your own brand (name with which you want to sell your products) and click on check Brand, you will instantly get the brand approval then click on “ continue” option.
- After getting the brand approval you just need to press on the “Continue” button and fill up your product related information here.
- First Add images of the designated product and Make sure to check the Image guidelines of flipkart before clicking the photos of the product because every vertical has its mandatory requirements. Once uploaded, click on the save tab and if you’ve the mandatory requirements you will see the green tick.
- Once this is done, click on the ‘Edit’ button at right corner to add more information about the product. This primarily includes its pricing, stocking, and shipping details.
- Now, click on ‘Edit’ to add all the mandatory product description. You can also provide additional product information in order to enrich your catalog.
- To ensure that all the information has been correctly filled, you can keep checking the button at the left-end head of every tab. If it is green, you are good to go.
- On the lower right-end of the page, you will find a tab titled ‘Create more variants’. Use that to add more product variants in terms of colour and size. Ensure that you fill in the pricing and stocking details for each variant differently.
- Please make sure that at any point, if you change an attribute under product description, it would be applied to all the variants simultaneously.
- Finally, click on the ‘Submit’ button to create product listings with multiple variants.
- Initially, all of these listings would be shown ‘Pending’ under the Quality check (QC) tab. Once they are approved from Quality check team, they will immediately go online. You can check the status of your listing on your “Add New Listings” tab. This tab will tell you the exact QC status of your listings along with the reasoning for the action taken.
- In case you listing does not pass the QC, you can edit the fields with error and resubmit.
- You can also use the ‘View drafts’ tab to see the listings which were drafted but not submitted.
After these steps have been taken, the listing will go live.
