Why should I link my eBay and PayPal accounts?

If you have a PayPal account, you can use it to pay for your items on eBay. You can also link your PayPal and eBay accounts so you don’t need to enter your details each time you pay at checkout. To pay with PayPal, select PayPal as your payment method at checkout and enter your account information.

What is the difference between Personal and Business PayPal accounts?

Personal Accounts will display both your name and email address to buyers. A Business account has all of those features and more. With a Business Account, buyers will see your business name and business email address – they would only see your name if it was the same as the business name.

Why is my item listed in another category on an international site?

Every international eBay site has its own category tree. They are mostly the same, but differences can occur. It is most likely that eBay has picked the most fitting category for your item. For example, on ebay.co.uk, women’s sneakers are listed as Clothing, Shoes & Accessories > Women’s Shoes > Trainers, while on ebay.com they’re listed as Clothing, Shoes & Accessories > Women’s Shoes > Athletic Shoes.

What are regional eBay sites exchange rates for the cost of my items?

When you post a listing via eBay, the exchange rates for regional sites are recalculated by Google Finance. In this case, if the exchange rate is changed, the price is recalculated automatically (the price in italics will not be recalculated).

At the same time, you can set the price of items in the currency of a regional site by yourself. Keep in mind that if the price is set manually, it will remain fixed and will not be recalculated when the exchange rate changes.

Why are some countries excluded from shipping in listings created via eBay?

This way, eBay enforces the eBay duplicate listing policy which states that an item can only be sold in a given country on a single regional eBay site. Automatic exclusions protect your account from being blocked and prevent the buyers’ search results from being filled with multiple copies of the same listing in different languages.

How do I use DHL and Russian Post integration?

To ship an order using DHL or Russian Post, your account should use a Russian postal address.

To ship an order:

  • Go to the Orders & Shipping tab on eBay
  • Click the order you want to ship
  • In the pop-up window, click Ship with Russian Post or EMS/Ship with DHL
  • Fill the required fields, then click Calculate shipping

Why is my item listed in another category on an international site?

Ineligible categories for international sales include. Your items must meet the selling and eligibility requirements for the eBay site in each country. These fees aren’t refundable unless your listing doesn’t meet the other.

How does eBay recommend items for publication?

Any eBay seller can use eBay to sell items worldwide. Publish new listings on the selected sites in the “Good ‘Till Cancelled” format. We recommend choosing ebay.com, ebay.co.uk and ebay.de as these sites have a larger audience.

Why create listings in bulk in .xlsx format?

As listing multiple items individually can take too long, eBay offers the option to add multiple items as an Excel table.

To list multiple items this way:

  • Click Add an item, then Grab from Excel
  • Download the file Template.xlsx from the Upload item window
  • Fill in the item information
  • Upload the file and click the Upload button

What is an item showcase?

An item showcase is a list of all items available for sale via eBay listings on a given international site. Showcases are created automatically upon listing creation. Therefore, all items that are available for sale will be included in the international site’s showcase.

What are selling limits (limits on eBay sellers)?

This is an account-based limit. New sellers have a 10  item selling limit with a total value of $500 per month. This means that, during the month, you can sell no more than 10 items for a total of $500. This is the standard limit for all new eBay sellers.

What price should I set for my items?

Your eBay pricing should look at more than just making a profit. Make sure your pricing includes the cost of packaging, the products themselves, and the time spent. You spend a lot of time and money to get products to customers, so include these costs in the final sale price so you recoup them.

Why can’t I create auction-style listings?

In most cases, you can’t change the listing duration or format. For example, you can’t change a fixed price listing to an auction listing. If you’d like to sell a different item, you’ll need to create a new listing for the item, instead of editing an existing listing.

Adding a subtitle to your listing can increase buyer interest by providing more descriptive information about In the Describe your item section, enter your text in the Subtitle field. How long does it take for the listing to appear on an international eBay site after clicking the Sell button?

On average, it takes up to 15 minutes for the listing to appear on an international eBay site; however, it may take up to 24 hours if you list more than 100 items across multiple international sites.

If the item was not listed after this time period, check:

  • Whether you have clicked the Sell button (if not, click it)
  • Whether you have reached your sellers limits (if you have, contact the eBay Customer Service via Help & Contact)

Why do I need to archive listings? What is the difference between archiving and deleting listings?

Once a listing is deleted, it is gone for ever with no possibility of recovery. Another alternative is to Archive the listings. Archiving makes the listing sort of invisible EXCEPT when you explicitly want to see them. Archived listings can be Unarchived but a Deleted listing can’t be Undeleted.

How to correctly fill in an item template when creating a listing manually?

To create a template:

  1. Go to Listing templates – opens in new window or tab and choose Create new template.
  2. Give your template a name, so you’ll remember the type of item it covers.
  3. Add in the rest of your listing details.

You can revise your listings any time in My eBay, here’s how:

  1.  In Selling Activity – opens in new window or tab, find the listing you’d like to revise.
  2. Select Revise from More actions.
  3. Make your changes, then select Revise it to save the updated listing.

I can’t find a listing created previously. Where is it?
